VO - Learn English Writing

We manage to finalize the narration of all the topics in Lesson 4. Tomorrow, we planning to have the VO recording at K-Space. A special VO talent has been summon. Hopefully all be be smooth.

The purpose of VO script taken out from the storyboard is to help VO talent to read and refer the narration based on the topics rather than give away the storyboard.

Storyboard Presentation - Learn English Writing

Thanks to Ms Azmawati for giving us a chance in completing the storyboard. Now the final stage our group need to come out with a prototype of the lessons. We did ask Ms Azmawati whether we need to do all the topics or choose only one, the respond is only 1 but make sure all must complete with multimedia elements.

Storyboard is important in developing the final or prototype of the e-learning. This is the final stage of the development. The finalize storyboard will be given to multimedia developer for the final execution in multimedia platform such as flash format, html5, php, apps or etc.

Some of the snapshots during the storyboard presentation at K-Space. Our group had a small problem in the storyboard as we not include some of the activities and VO script for each topic. Our group has been given a second chance by Ms Azamwati to rearrange and complete the storyboard.

We (my group) only got 3rd place when Sani’s group out-ruled all of us. What a great job they have done. Congrats. Not to be forgotten Ain’s at 2nd.

Hopefully, we will do our best for the final execution of the mockup..See you next week….

Me and Matthew cramp our head in refining the storyboard for presentation. We arranged and check back the layout, the buttons explanation, animation and narration.

Storyboard Development - my part

Wee meet up at FCM Mamak to design our storyboard. I have designed the layout using Adobe Illustrator.

We use the RIO design document for our guidance in developing our storyboard. In the storyboard we not just add the layout design but also the details which are :

Graphics Description / Instruction
Interactivities
Narration
Animation Description

We covered Topic 4 which is Revising and Editing in the RIO. For the storyboarding , we finalize that around 23 screen for all topics.

Site visit IPERINTIS, Jalan Perak, Kuala Lumpur 9.4.2012

Report
We had a good site visit last week at Iperintis , Kuala Lumpur. The company is well known for Multimedia Development and service provider. The company is owned by 75% Petronas and the rest is Iperintis. Most of the staff there seems to be friendly especially their manager. We learn a lot from them on the courseware development using ADDIE model. Detailed explanation from the start till the end.

They did explain the process and procedures and willing to share their experience and challenges from Petronas courseware and they did suggested one MMLS software which is SUMTOTAL ,easy to use and manage by any institution or company.

This is a good milestone for us in developing any courseware in the future. Thanks to Iperintis and Ms. Azmawati for this wonderful trip. We all really appreciate it.
